Another terrestrial orchid

Aug. 29, 2014: Larry dropped by Larry’s Orchids and Tropicals to pick up some supplies and came home with a wacky looking terrestrial orchid (and a species Miltonia).

Thunia marshalliana internet picture(picture from Internet) Looks like delicate-looking flowers are expected out of this huge plant.

Milt. spectibilis v rosea internet picture(picture from Internet) We actually saw a Milt. spectabilis at Taylor Orchids last weekend but I guess the v. rosea is supposed to make our plant produce pink flowers instead of the reddish/burgundy version we saw at Ron’s.
