Feb. 27, 2016 [update]: The C. intermedia f. orlata has been in bloom and we were supposed to bring it to the Greater Lansing Orchid Society Show this weekend but forgot to pack it with the other plants we brought to display at the show. Bummer we didn’t get to have it at the show for others to see.
Sep. 13, 2015 [update]: The inflorescence on the Dendrochilum glumaceum has more flowers now. Still not all open tho.
Sep. 6, 2015 [update]: It was a pleasant surprise to see two inflorescence growing out of the Dendrochilum glumaceum recently. The flowers are all not fully open yet but we’re too excited to hold out posting pictures of one of the inflorescences.
Sep. 1, 2015 [update]: The Eurychone rothschildiana has been blooming all this time and the flowers are crazy fragrant!
Aug. 7, 2015 [update]: We got a flow on the Lc. Angel Love ‘Pinky’ but it looks like there were some critters munching on it.
Jul. 19, 2015: Today is the Greater Lansing Orchid Society Annual Picnic and much like last year (told in this post and this post), it was tons of fun, great company and great plants! These are the orchids we took home.
(picture from Internet) This was the second plant we picked up off the sale tables since it’s mounted and it’s a genus we have not heard of before. It would be interesting to see this bloom while mounted!
(picture from Internet) We actually have one of these plants already (story told here) but it’s always interesting to get plants from other sources and see if there are any variations in the flowers.
This is a mystery orchid plant that Rob Little Frog Farm brought to the picnic. The older members were saying that it’s from a member who moved to Australia. It looks like it has some buds developing which we hope to be able to use to ID this plant.
